I was also using the Amulet of Kvasir, however, I got better at parrying than 'last second dodging', and funny enough I was able to parry more effectively by running towards them, just as soon as I could react to seeing the yellow warning, I guess closing the gap helped my poor timing? I definitely felt under equipped, but after watching some of these guys defeat the hardest Valkyrie on 'GMGOW' difficulty with level 1 gear, I felt compelled to prevail. I lost count on how many times I died, all mainly due to impatience, but it was less than 50 tries, and the first 10 tries I couldn't get her health down past the first bar, lmao. I refused to believe I sucked that bad, so I stayed until I beat her. I had one of the Focus max level 4 I think and the other 2 only had 1 upgrade each. I've only fought the first one at Thamur's Corpse as the story progressed on 'Normal' difficulty and barely level 4 at the time, using 2/3 parts of the Focus set and one of the Tyr armor pieces.
